Traveller (2015)

Traveler – is the debut studio album by American singer, songwriter and guitarist Chris Stapleton. The album was produced by Dave Cobb and Stapleton, and was published on May 5, 2015 by the Mercury Nashville label.

Described by critics as an “old school country”, southern rock album, Traveler received critical acclaim and made Stapleton win several awards. It was named Album of the Year in 2015 at the Country Music Association Awards. In addition, he received a nomination at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards for Album of the Year and Best Country Music Album. The song “Traveler” also won for Best Performance by Country Soloist. At the 2016 Academy of Country Music Awards he won Album of the Year, with the song and “Nobody to Blame” also won Song of the Year.

Traveler reached # 1 on the Billboard 200 after a duet performed by Stapleton and Justin Timberlake at the 2015 Country Music Association Awards. The album has been certified double platinum by the RIAA and has sold more than 1.8 million copies in United States as of March 2017.

The album generated three singles: Traveler, Nobody to Blame and Paachute. «Nobody to Blame» reached the top 10 on the Country Airplay chart, Stapleton has posted a video for the song «Fire Away».
